Oh Mama What A Mess!
Quote ‘A steamy Mexican road movie with a now legendary diving board scene that can’t be missed, plenty of full-frontal nudity and a naked same-sex kiss that will blow you away.’ un-quote. Did I see the same movie as everyone else? This movie was marketed heavily to us gay folks, and yet, this is one of the most homophobic movies I’ve seen in my life! The one and only time we see the guys kiss (it’s only hinted there was a night of debauchery) is followed by one of them vomiting (ostensibly

Searching thru a cinematic database to find the top 5 must see lesbian films can be a fun, yet daunting task. There have been many wonderful lesbian - themed films that have been created; creating a list of the top 5 certainly has not been easy. One of the must see lesbian films that I highly recommend is If These Walls Could Talk 2.
If These Walls Could Talk 2 is based on a set of vignettes throughout the movie. The premise of the movie is that there is one house that has seen the likes of various lesbians and their living situations. In the first segment, two partners, Edith (played by Vanessa Redgrave) and Abbey (Marian Seldes) go about their every day lives in 1961. When Abbey takes a fall off of a

This is a Darkover omnibus containing the novels The World Wreckers and The Planet Savers, as well as the short story The Waterfall.
The Planet Savers was the very first Darkover story and was published originally in 1958. The Trailmen, one of the native sentient races of the planet Darkover, have a childhood disease known as “Trailmen’s fever”. A pandemic sweeps across Darkover every forty-eight years, bringing mild discomfort for the Trailmen but a high mortality rate to the humans.

Does this count as Furry love? (If y’all don’t know what Furry love is all about, Ah’m not gonna tell) “The Wolves of Kromer” is both a fairy tale and a Fairy tale - not to mention furry tail!
This sensuous and wonderful English fantasy of gay werewolves roaming an countryside of old houses, lakes and deep forests is a dark, funny tale of sexy gay werewolves, murderous old ladies and an old English town bent on getting rid of those not like

Think I Do is a wonderfully wacky and sexy gay screwball comedy from the maker of Pool Days one of the many brilliant short films in Boys Life.
The screwball “who will marry who” antics of The Philadelphia Story are given a gay update in this deliriously romantic comedy. Bob (Alexis Arquette - more fabulous in drag than out!) and Brendan (Christian Maelen) are college roommates whose close friendship (and Bobâ€TMs mad crush) is chilled after Bob is rejected by Brendan. Five years later, they and their college chums all reunite for the marriage of one of their former classmates. Among those in attendance

Coming Out in the Weeds
Wild Reeds was the winner of 1995’s César Awards for Best Picture, Screenplay, Actor and Female Discovery and claims to be a poignant drama that captures the universal ecstasy, pain and loneliness of young love. But mah poor wigs just drooped like they were exposed to an extremely humid evening in Atlanta. Ah know the French cinema has a different aesthetic - ah think its called “boring” - but this drag queen needs some pizzaz, some emotion,

Here is Book Two of the Clingfire Trilogy, which began with The Fall of Neskaya. All you really need to know is that it’s a Darkover novel. I read the first book years ago, and didn’t need it to understand the action in this one at all.
This is the story of Carolin Hastur and Varzil Ridenow, who trained to use their laran (psychic) power at the Tower of Arilinn, and became fast friends and allies. Carolin was the heir of the

There are all kinds of coming out; and “Get Real” touches on several … when lead character, Steven Carter (Played brilliantly by Ben Silverstone), comes out to his best friend-turned-instant-fag-hag, Linda (Charlotte Brittain), unwittingly outs himself to his crush, John Dixon (Brad Gorton), then to everyone else.
Where “Edge of Seventeen” explored the main character’s self-awakening, his coming out to himself, “Get Real” starts with Steven after he’s jumped that hurdle and is having sex in the local park’s restroom! It is there that Steven’s rollercoaster ride of love, hate, and heroism begins as by chance,

L’il ol’ me was just a bit tired of all those French films (not to mention The Quintology of Terror) When Love Comes is a great little film out of New Zealand (Love those accents!) directed by Garth Maxwell who was also responsible for “Jack Be Nimble.” When Love Comes is an intensely interwoven story of a pair of lesbian rockers, drummer Fig (Nancy Brunning) and singer Sally (Sophia Hawthorne), a former pop diva named Katie Keane (Rena Owen), an irresistibly cute but emotionally strung out songwriter, Mark (Dean O’Gorman), and insanely gorgeous Stephen (Simon Prast) as Mark’s frustrated boyfriend and long-time

Ah really enjoyed “Friends & Family”, kiddies. Ta hayuz not had a lot to laugh about with the countdown to Armageddon quickly ticking off the days; but Ah laughed until mah corset popped off.
Yeah. It plays on stereotypes and having Stephen’s (Greg Lauren) parents be FBI was just too over the top. The film is decently paced beginning with Stephen and Danny (Christopher Gartin) enjoying an evening at the opera. Howevah, during intermission they head back-stage to congratulate the lead singer as he takes his break; then demand a check to pay off
